We stayed in this beautiful Riad for three nights and had a phantastic time. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and very kind and helpful with all concerns you could possibly have. We were welcomed with minth tea and cookies, were given some explanations for the city incl. a helpful map and were shown our lovely room. The Riad is beautifully decorated, the traditional style seems to be fallen out of an oriental dream. The rooms are put together with a lot of love for details, are very clean and roomy. Once we arrived in front of the historical town wall, we were picked up by a friendly guy who showed us the way to the Riad (you can't drive there with a car as it is in the medina). This place is perfectly located near all the beautiful sights and you can walk everywhere. Breakfast was included in the price and abolutely tasty - freshly baked cake, pancakes, traditionally baked bread, fresh yoghurt with honey, fresh fruit etc. All in all that was a phantastic stay, we highly recommend this place.

Location is very close to all sightseeing In bottom side, the breakfast was very basic. It was yogurt, butter and jam.i was appealing for more than this. There is also mint tea, fresh orange juice and coffee Finally; I didn't know about city taxes and was asked to pay at the end. I checked my booking confirmation and it was included in the price, I offered the man at the reception to charge my card but I was asked only cash I reminded them that they have a card machine and I don't have enough cash for taxi if I settle it in cash. The man at reception suddenly became aggressive and shouted to pay only in cash. I was lucky that the owner of hotel just turn up and apologised. His behaviour was absolutely out of respect and shocking and happily ended by the French owner of the hotel

My journey in Morocco started and ended in Marrakech. I reserved Riad Chorfa for my last night to catch a flight back home to the States. Since it was in January, it was pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings. With that said, this is a Riad, so they will have heaters in each room and the common courtyard area would be quite cold. Even as it warms up in the day, these traditional homes that are now often turned to hotels and guest houses keep the cool air in. The heater in my room wasn’t effective at all. I’ve had this experience throughout my trip in Morocco but the difference was I mostly rented out an entire Riad instead of staying in one reserved room, so if one room didn’t have good heating I had other empty rooms to choose from. I didn’t have an option in this case even as staff tried to assist in increasing the temp. As far as the decor, it’s gorgeous, lots of picture worthy spots in this hotel. I had the pleasure of dining at the hotel, their food was delicious, the dining area is beautiful. Needless to say, I plopped myself right next to the fire place because I was always cold. (I do get cold easily).Staff was accommodating in holding a rug I had purchased earlier during my trip when I had first landed in Marrakech. It had been delivered to the hotel, so by the time I traveled back to Marrakech and checked in, it was there waiting for me.If you want to stay in a Riad, consider some of the nuisances that may come with these beautiful structures: depending on the weather- it might be too chilly, ensure your heater works! if it’s a Riad converted into a hotel, consider the noise level as the rooms and many times the windows are facing the indoor-ish courtyard where people may dine and congregate. If you are sharing a room with your friends, be aware that some rooms may not provide enough privacy. sometimes the bathrooms don’t have doors, my room was two levels where I walked up the bathroom which overlooked my entire room and had a window that looks out into the courtyard. this might be an awkward situation when you need a door to close, even more awkward because I feel like you can probably hear EVERYTHING, even from the courtyard.My stay was nice, the place is gorgeous, staff were helpful, but I prefer renting out an entire home via Airbnb for myself for the same price or cheaper than just having one room to myself. If hotels are your preference I would recommend this place as along as you can deal with the small nuisances.

It has been a life long dream to visit Marakesh and stay in a colourful beautiful Riad and this was it. I can mot express how warm, beautiful, friendly and welcoming this place is. Yan, Cedric, Hamza and the amazing staff including Rashida 'the queen of the kitchen', Ibriham our kind hearted porter and Abdil hadi our wonderful guide. They made our stay magical, fun and beautifully humane. The riad is an artistic treat and glorious to stay in. I can not recommend the Chofra enough. If you go because of this review, say hello from me.El sueño de mi vida era visitar Marakesh y alojarme en un hermoso y colorido Riad, y éste lo fue. No puedo expresar lo cálido, hermoso, amable y acogedor que es este lugar. Six of us stayed in two triple rooms. Rooms were lovely however be prepared if you are sharing as there are no doors between room and toilet so know your sharers well . The guys at the Riad were. very helpful in recommending money change etc and couldnt do enough to make our stay great. Breakfast was good, the homemade yoghurt was delicious as were the jams and pancakes. Would not necessarily recommend the meal in the evening though. We had better elsewhere. Great location and actually having read some of the other reviews it was very quiet in the evening. I didn’t hear any noise from the street. Everything was very clean. The bed linen was beautiful cotton but the air con could be a little temperamental- but again the staff were immediately on fixing any issues. Would def recommend for a relaxed authentic stay.

This is a rather large riad about 5 mins walk from the main square with a central courtyard where people gather and where breakfast is served. It's pleasant enough, but they don't go the extra mile as do others I stayed in Marrakech and elsewhere in Morocco. The room was a good size, although on the ground floor with no window. The breakfast was ordinary at best. I found the attitude here indifferent and not completely guest focused. I wouldn't say the experience was bad but it wasn't great either, 6 or 7 out of 10. There are many better choices.
